Triangle pose (Trikonasana)
Triangle pose engages every part of your body, it strengthens the core, opens the hips and shoulders and stretches the legs, while strengthening the muscles in the thighs, hips, back, and toning the knees and ankles. It can also help relieve lower back pain and a slow digestive system.
It’s one of the first poses you’ll learn in yoga yet is surprisingly hard to master, the desire to get our hand to the ground often compromises the integrity of our alignment. It's more about stretching and strengthening the side body than touching the ground. Slow and steady wins here!
